Currently there is no way to set global/universal settings for all components, and it’s quite a difficult task to tackle. What you can do though, is bring in each component into a model, customize their dimensions and materials the way you need them, make internal geometric changes if needed (like bevels), and then save each component aside with ComponentFinder into a folder on your hard drive (look for the magnifying glass icon on the flextools toolbar).
I forgot to mention that in the latest release of ComponentFinder you can create custom toolbars from any components folder, so once you’re done customizing your components you can create a toolbar out of them for immediate use in future projects.
Hi Nathan,
Currently there is no way to set global/universal settings for all components, and it’s quite a difficult task to tackle. What you can do though, is bring in each component into a model, customize their dimensions and materials the way you need them, make internal geometric changes if needed (like bevels), and then save each component aside with ComponentFinder into a folder on your hard drive (look for the magnifying glass icon on the flextools toolbar).
There’s a good explanation and video how to use ComponentFinder here: https://flextools.cc/learn/learn-component-finder/
I hope this helps
