Открывать в component finder не только директории, но и отдельные файлы, если это возможно. Было бы очень удобно извлекать компоненты из ранее сделанных проектов. С уважением, Сергей.

Open in component finder not only directories, but also individual files if possible. It would be very convenient to extract components from previously made projects. Respectfully, Sergey.

Thank you for the idea Sergey,

If there was a feature to save multiple components from an open model into Component Finder, would that be helpful?

Thank you Yoni for paying attention to my idea. If I get it right, we’re talking about the same thing. That would be super!))

From your first post I understood that you may want to open a sketchup file in Component Finder just like you open folders, and show the components that are inside (without actually opening the Sketchup file). Theoretically this may be possible to implement, but could be confusing for most users.

On the other hand there’s a feature we have been thinking to introduce for a while now, where you could select a bunch of components from a model that is already open, and save them into ComponentFinder in once click (instead of one by one like you can now).

Yes, I meant one option when you can choose the right components from your old files. The two variants are also interesting, but you should be able to choose the right components (ctrl) because the model usually has a lot of garbage components

Ok, cool. During our next round of updates for ComponentFinder we’ll probably implement something more similar to the second variant. When exactly, it’s hard to say now. Thank You!
